Tailored Tutoring

All our tuition is tailored to meet each students needs so that it's fun and:

Boosts their confidence

Boosts their subject skills

Develops their problem solving ability for exams

Fills in the gaps from the last school year

Motivates them through their next school year

Supports them with their homework and helps them develop a 'can do' attitude.

Think: do you learn by?

Looking at or reading things?

Listening or talking to people?

Hands on activities?

A bit of each?

Some of our students are good in lessons but don’t do as well in tests and exams as they could. We will work out what is stopping you doing better and train you how to prepare for an exam, how to make maths revision notes look alive and also give you memory techniques that will make you a virtual genius!

How we get around a 'barrier to learning.'

Often our students hate maths, we like to call this a ‘barrier to learning’. We will use games and innovative techniques to bring maths back to life so that you can jump over those barriers:

‘Mystery Multiplication’; a ball game to help learn times tables

‘Magi Mixer’; a board game to make mental arithmetic fun

‘Mathlish Dictionary’ a card game to help learn mathematical terms

‘Brain Circuits’; a specially designed physical activity to bring your brain cells out of hibernation!

Frequently our students are lacking confidence when they come for help from us.

Our games are designed to improve your confidence. For example, “I know that…” is a ball game to review recently learnt topics whilst “Dr Genius’ Discoveries!” uses drama to consolidate understanding of new subjects.

We like guessing too, we believe you can never be wrong, just not quite right!
