Are you a parent of children at primary school age?

Do you think today’s maths is different to what you learnt?

Would you like to be able to offer more support to your own child with their maths homework?

Maybe you never got on well with maths yourself at school?

Maybe you want to give your children that little bit extra?

Maths for Mums and Dads is the course that can help you help your children in maths.

We teach you the maths that your children learn at school, we give you some techniques to help you manage homework time well and we’ll show you how to enjoy maths with your children! Maths really is everywhere so together we find out how to integrate maths from school into maths in life. This helps your child develop a strong foundation in maths to prepare them for the challenges of secondary school.

Courses run for around 4 - 8 parents at a time

This allows you the one to one time you need to progress. They run for one term of 6 weeks, for two hours per week during school hours.

Parents in a group will have children at similar ages and/or levels so that they can share their experiences. There will be an expectation that there is manageable practical work to complete with your child each week.

Parents are encouraged to develop a support network between themselves to allow them to sustain the new learning long term. Further courses will be available as your child progresses through primary school.

I am currently writing a book: Maths for Mums and Dad which I hope will be published later in 2008.
